Ten Day Old Puppies

The boys are ten days old and growing so fast! Both of them are now over three pounds….which is over twice their birth weight. Eyes and ears are open and they are toddling around the whelping box.

Red Collar Male. Beautiful dark red sable like his father, Dexter.

Black Collar Male. Rich black and red like his mother, Ella.

One Week Old Puppies

Today the boys are one week old! They have doubled their birth weight and are starting to try to toddle around the whelping box. These boys are so healthy and hearty! I love how chubby and strong they are already! Ella is recovering well from the birth and is doting on her two boys. She is an excellent mother and is eating up a storm to feed these two!

Ella had her litter on Thursday night. It was the smallest litter I have had with only two males. Both boys are beautiful and healthy and Ella is recovering well. One male is black and red like his mama and one is a dark red sable like his dad. Both of these males are already spoken for.

Ella 7 Weeks Pregnant

Ella is due the second week of May. As she approaches her due date her tummy is growing very rapidly and she is eating twice as much as she normally does. Just this week I started feeling the puppies moving inside her. New life is such an amazing miracle to me every time I witness it.

During this pregnancy Ella has been craving apples like crazy! This is how she watches me whenever I am eating an apple……and yes, she gets the core and often a whole apple to herself.
