Hello Ava,
I just spoke with your mother regarding homeschooling and got on the subject of GSD. I had told her we have a white one. I love all the colors. Some people don’t agree with breeding the whites. I’m sending the website from where our girl came from. Unfortunately, we got a dog with a poor temperament, a shy girl. From my reading, I understand a dog in any breed can have this temperament, and this can be worked on to some extent. We love our shy girl, but it’s just not the ideal trait in a GSD. She is only two, so she may have another year to mature and grow even more confident. And we have seen improvement in her. Her name is Piper, after a pastor we admire (Dr. John Piper). We also have two Brittanys, that are big goofs. I love the intelligence of the GSD. I believe this will become our breed of choice for future dogs. Of course, these three gals will keep us busy for many years to come. I think our next GSD will be black/tan or all black (although how do you find ticks on an all black one, a good rub-down I guess . . . I hate ticks!) I enjoyed looking at your pictures and video. Great dogs. I hope you find many good homes for them all:)

Mine are getting old now. I lost 2 Jury my male and Shania oldest female.
I have 3 females left. Dee who is almost 12,the dam of Keisa and Trouble. Keisa and Trouble are out of the same litter they are 8 yrs old. Never had a litter of pups.

Greetings from me, my family and our new addition GS puppy.
We bought a GS puppy last week. We were told that it’s only 35 days old. Only when I read few articles in the net we came to know it’s too early to buy. When I approached the breeder he sadly said it’s mom is died. We were also shocked. This is the first time we brought home a puppy. It’s b cause our kids demanded me to have a pet. My children are 10 and 7 years old. I would like to get guidelines to rear it. We want to potty train him and train him on other activities too. We also want to know about feeding him and play materials for him. He bites my kids and they are afraid of him now. Though he lost his mom, we want to make him learn everything well and care him more than his mom and littermates. Can you please help us.

Hi, I am very interested in getting a German Shepherd for our family. When I lived in Germany, they were the most popular housedog, and I fell in love with the breed. I found you through a Bluedorn link, and I’m a fellow homeschool mom. Four kids, 4 through 14, and they are all anxious to have a dog. My husband has some reservations about getting a dog – he was raised where animals are kept exclusively outside – I was raised with pets inside the house. And, his argument has to do with shedding of hair. Can you give me a realistic idea of how much GSDs shed? Is it a major problem? Thanks much! Linda
