Growing Puppies!

Puppies are in their fourth week now. Today they moved outside to the kennel during the day. They have been maturing alot this past week. Getting more curious and now needing more space to investigate and explore.

Purple Collar Female. Seems to be a calmer, more laid back type of girl.

Blue Collar Male exploring the pen. He is a confidant and bold fellow. The firstborn of this litter.

Daisy Collar Female. This girl reminds me the most of her mother when she was tiny. Laid back and easy going.

Green Collar Female. Active and vocal little girl. Very bright and curious as to the world around her.

Orange Collar Male. My pick of the litter for best Schutzhund prospect. Very intelligent and curious as to his world. Confidant. I had already decided to keep a female from this litter, or else I would keep this guy.

Black Collar Male. This litter guy just melts my heart with his calm seriousness! A very easy going and relaxed guy!

Nearly Three Weeks Old

The puppies are nearing three weeks old. Getting much more active. Walking around the whelping box, playing with each other, getting more curious as to the world around them. A little more of their personalities are coming out now. Also, this week, the puppies started wagging their tails in response to things.

Puppies began eating puppy food this week. They are enjoying it quite a bit………as well as enjoying getting it all over themselves.

Ten Day Old Puppies

The puppies’ eyes are now starting to open. They are toddling around the whelping box….taking tumbles as they lose their balance.

Verena Litter One Week Old

Puppies turned one week old today! They are growing at a tremendous rate right now. Putting on 2-4 ounces a day! They range in weight from 1 pounds 12 ounces to 2 pounds 1 ounce. In a couple more days they will have doubled their birth weight. All really healthy and happy puppies. Vreni is catching up on her sleep as well and getting her energy and playfulness back.
