Earlier this week Bo (Robey/Liesl puppy from last Fall) was bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider onĀ his hind leg. The tissue damage sounds pretty severe at this point and he is under veterinarian care this week with IVs and antibiotics being administered.
I know his family would greatly covet your prayers for this really great guy.

Ava-
Tell them to use one of those shockers. We have had several friends down here in Texas that have been bitten by brown recluse and we just shock around the bite and it completely goes away. They wash windows as a job and so they are constantly in the bushes and such. There are allot of BR down here so we all just carry our shockers with us. It’s just a normal way of life. I will try to look up the website where they can purchase one. They are around $50 or so.
All the best,
Kelly

Thanks, Ava!!!
It means a lot to me…we went and visited hime today! He was SO excited to see us! He was jumping all over us whining….it was very hard for all of us to leave him again. He is almost putting full wait on his leg now, the tissue is also starting to grow back and his leg is healing (already!). So, all is going well!
If all keeps improving, we will get him back Wendsday! Thank you so much for praying, Ava!!!! I can’t wait to get our Bo-Bo back!

I know you’re vet knows best, but can they use dapsone for dogs (it’s a drug for leprosy that is sometimes administered to adults to alleviate the necrosis)?
Go Bo! I bet he is missing his peeps.

I’m hoping for a speedy recover for Bo. Sound’s like he’s on the mend.

I am glad to tell everyone that Bo is doing VERY WELL! He is home with us now. We are glad to have him back, after a week of being gone!
We have to re-bandage his his leg everyday and do hydrotherapy (sp?) on it for ten mintues daily, as well.
Thank you all for your prayers and advice!
