A Day in the Sunshine and Grass

By germanshepherdpuppies

The puppies are ten days old today. This morning I noticed that Daisy Collar Female has just a corner of each of her eyes starting to open! Just a few more days and all of them will have their eyes open. They toddle about the whelping box now. They take tumbles and roll completely over quite a bit…………..but they are getting better and better each day.

They all got to go outside and discover grass today. :) It was so nice and sunshiny…………just perfect for taking photos.

The puppies’ weights today were:

Blue Collar Male: 3 pounds, .3 ounces

Red Collar Male: 2 pounds, 12.1 ounces

Daisy Collar Female: 2 pounds, 6.6 ounces

Green Collar Male: 2 pounds, 11.6 ounces

Orange Collar Male: 2 pounds, 5.7 ounces

Here is Vreni loving on her little Green Collar Male. Of all the puppies, this little guy is the quietest and calmest about things. Doesn’t make a fuss when hungry, getting weighed, or having photos taken.

Here is the family all together in the grass.

A pile of chubby puppies in the grass.

Orange Collar Male just woke up from a nap.

Green Collar Male getting sniffed by Robey and Liesl while Vreni makes sure everything is all right.

Daisy Collar Female hiding under her mom.

Blue Collar Male. This guy’s nickname is “The Hulk.” :) He is such a big and sturdy guy!
